Mobile App Development

Mobile apps
people love to use

From a first prototype to a polished App Store launch, ICE Team designs and builds fast, reliable iOS and Android apps — cross-platform or native, with a codebase you fully own.

Why ICE Team

A partner, not just a vendor

Apps built to be maintained, not just launched

A launch is the start, not the finish line. Phones, OSes and stores change constantly — so we build apps the way a team that has to live with them would: clean architecture, sensible tooling and docs that keep the app healthy long after go-live.

Senior engineers, end to end

You work directly with people who design, build and ship real apps — not a sales layer over junior hand-offs. The engineer who scopes your app is the one who builds it.

The right platform choice

Cross-platform or native is a real trade-off, not a default. We recommend the approach that fits your product, budget and timeline honestly — even when the cheaper path is the right one.

Code you actually own

You get a clean, documented, tested codebase and your own App Store and Play accounts. Whether you keep building with us or take it in-house, you are never locked in or held hostage.

What we build

From prototype to App Store

Whatever you need on mobile, one team designs, builds and ships it — front to back, with a clear scope and a codebase you own.

Cross-platform apps

One codebase, both stores. We build cross-platform apps that feel native on iOS and Android while sharing most of the code — the fastest, most cost-effective way to reach every user without maintaining two separate builds.

  • A single codebase shipping to both the App Store and Google Play
  • Native look and feel, smooth animations and platform conventions respected
  • Push notifications, deep links and offline support where you need them
  • Lower build and maintenance cost than two native apps

Native iOS & Android

When the app demands the absolute best. For performance-critical products or deep platform features, we build fully native in Swift and Kotlin — squeezing every drop of speed, hardware access and platform polish out of each device.

  • Native Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android) built for peak performance
  • Full access to platform APIs, sensors, camera and hardware
  • Platform-perfect UX that follows Apple and Google guidelines
  • The right choice for games, media and hardware-heavy apps

App backends & APIs

The engine behind the app. We design and build the APIs, databases and cloud services your app runs on — auth, sync, storage and real-time features — so the app you ship is a complete product, not a pretty front end with nothing behind it.

  • Secure authentication, user accounts and role management
  • Reliable APIs, data sync and real-time features that scale
  • Cloud storage, push infrastructure and background jobs
  • Integrations with payment, analytics and third-party systems

Launch, growth & maintenance

Shipping is the start, not the end. We handle App Store and Play Store submission, keep the app compatible as OSes evolve, and add the analytics and updates that turn a launch into a product that keeps improving.

  • App Store and Google Play submission handled end to end
  • Analytics, crash reporting and performance monitoring wired up
  • Ongoing updates as iOS and Android release new versions
  • A clear release process for shipping new features safely

From idea to the App Store

A clear, low-drama process designed to get you a working app fast — with visibility at every step and no black boxes.

  • Scope & design

We start by understanding what you are building and who it is for. Together we lock the scope, map the screens and flows, and choose native or cross-platform — so the build starts on solid, agreed foundations.

  • Build in the open

We build in short increments and put a real app on your device often, not slideware. You review working builds on a cadence that suits you and steer the product while it is still cheap to change.

  • Test & ship

Before launch we test across real devices and OS versions, tune performance and battery, and handle App Store and Play Store submission — so your app goes live smoothly, not stuck in review limbo.

  • Support & grow

After launch we can keep improving the app, keep it compatible as OSes update, or hand it over cleanly to your team. Either way you leave with a codebase and store accounts you fully control.

How we build

Built for real phones and real users

We pick proven, well-supported tools over trendy ones — and match the approach to your product, team and budget rather than forcing a favourite.

Fast & smooth

Snappy launches, fluid scrolling and animations that never stutter. We profile on real devices so the app feels fast in your users’ hands, not just on a top-end phone.

Works offline

Mobile networks drop. We design for flaky connections with local caching and sync, so the app keeps working on the train, in the lift, and everywhere in between.

Secure by default

Secure storage, safe authentication and protected data baked in, not bolted on later. We build with the common mobile risks in mind so you are not patching them after launch.

Native look & feel

An app should feel like it belongs on the platform. We follow Apple and Google design conventions so it feels instantly familiar to iOS and Android users alike.

Analytics & crash reporting

You cannot improve what you cannot see. We wire up analytics, crash reporting and performance monitoring so you know how the app is really doing in the wild.

Tested & documented

Meaningful tests and clear documentation come as standard — so the app stays reliable across OS updates and any engineer can pick it up without a treasure hunt.

FAQs

Mobile development FAQs

The questions clients usually ask before starting an app with us.

Should we build cross-platform or native?

It depends on the app. Cross-platform gets you onto both stores faster and cheaper from one codebase, and suits the large majority of apps. Native is worth it when you need peak performance or deep hardware access — games, heavy media, hardware-driven apps. We recommend the honest fit for your product, not a default.

How much does a mobile app cost?

It depends on the scope — a simple app and a full product with a backend are very different jobs. That is exactly why we scope honestly up front: we break the work down and give you a realistic quote and timeline before you commit a cent, with no open-ended hourly meter.

How long does it take to build and launch?

A focused first version can reach the stores in a couple of months; a larger product takes longer and ships in increments. We agree the scope and a realistic timeline before we start, put working builds on your device along the way, and handle store submission for you.

Do you handle App Store and Google Play submission?

Yes. We take care of the whole submission process — builds, store listings, review requirements and the back-and-forth — using your own Apple and Google developer accounts so you always own the listings and the app.

Do we own the code and store accounts?

You own everything. You get full access to a clean, documented codebase and keep your own App Store and Play accounts. You can keep building with us, move it in-house, or take it to another team — you are never held hostage.

Do you maintain the app after launch?

If you want us to. Mobile needs ongoing care as iOS and Android release new versions — we offer continued development, updates and maintenance after launch, or a clean hand-over to your own team. There is no obligation either way.
