From first prototype to live operations, ICE Team develops and publishes games with engaging gameplay, polished art and the live-ops tooling to grow an audience — built on a foundation you fully own.
Why ICE Team
A partner, not just a studio for hire
Games built to run live, not just to launch
A launch is the start, not the finish line. Players expect new content, events and fixes long after day one — so we build games the way a team that has to operate them would: clean architecture, live-ops tooling and analytics baked in, so the game keeps growing after go-live.Developers who ship & publish
We do not just make games to order — we develop and publish our own. That means you work with people who have carried a game from prototype through launch to live operations, and know where projects usually break.
Honest scoping up front
Games are famous for ballooning. We break the work down properly and tell you the real cost, timeline and risks before you commit — and we will tell you when a feature is not worth the money it will cost to build.
The IP stays yours
You keep your game, your code, your art and your brand. Whether we build it, co-develop it or publish it, you get a clean, documented project and full ownership — you are never locked in or held hostage.
What we build
From prototype to live game
Whatever stage your game is at, one team designs, builds, ships and operates it — front to back, with a clear scope and IP you own.
Game design & prototyping
The fastest way to find out if a game is fun is to play it. We turn a concept into a testable prototype quickly, prove the core loop with real hands on controls, and kill the ideas that do not work before they cost you a full production. You get honest answers early, not a year in.
- A playable prototype that proves the core gameplay loop
- Clear design docs: mechanics, progression and player goals
- Early playtests with real players and blunt feedback
- A go / no-go call and a scoped plan for full production
Full game development
From prototype to a game that ships. We handle engine work, gameplay systems, level design, art and audio, and get it running smoothly across the platforms you are targeting. One team owns the whole build, so nothing falls through the gap between design, code and art.
- Gameplay systems, engine work and tools built in Unity or Unreal
- Art, animation and audio that match your style and budget
- Builds tuned to run well on mobile, PC and console targets
- A clean, documented project any studio can keep building on
Live operations & backend
A live game is a product, not a shipment. We build the backend and live-ops tooling that keeps players coming back — accounts, matchmaking, leaderboards, seasonal events and a tuned economy — all backed by analytics so you can see what is actually happening and act on it.
- Player accounts, matchmaking and leaderboards that scale
- Live events, seasons and content the team can ship without a patch
- An in-game economy and store designed to be fair & sustainable
- Analytics dashboards for retention, engagement and revenue
Publishing & growth
Building the game is half the job — getting it in front of players is the other half. We handle store launch across platforms, run user acquisition that respects your margins, and keep the live-ops content flowing so a launch turns into a growing, retained audience instead of a spike and a drop.
- Store setup and launch across the App Store, Play, Steam & consoles
- User acquisition and marketing tuned to real cost per player
- Retention and monetization tuning based on live data
- A live-ops content roadmap to keep the audience growing
From pitch to a growing audience
A clear, low-drama process designed to prove the fun early and get you to launch — with visibility at every step and no black boxes.
Pitch & prototype
We start with your concept and the players it is for. Together we lock the core loop, pick the engine and platforms, and build a playable prototype fast — so we prove the game is fun before anyone commits to a full production.
Build & playtest
We build the game in short increments and put real, playable builds in front of players often, not slideware. You watch the game come together and steer it with playtest data while it is still cheap to change.
Launch across platforms
Before go-live we polish, optimise for each target device, and handle store submission across mobile, PC and console. You launch with the backend, analytics and live-ops tooling already in place to handle real players.
Operate, update & grow
After launch we keep the game alive — events, new content, balance passes and fixes driven by live data — or hand it over cleanly to your team. Either way you leave with a project and IP you fully control.
How we build
Built to be fun and built to last
We pick proven engines and tools over trendy ones — and match the approach to your game, team and budget rather than forcing a favourite.
Fun proven early
We prototype the core loop first and playtest it hard, so we know the game is fun before we spend on content. It is far cheaper to change a design on paper than after a year of production.
Engine-agnostic
Unity, Unreal or something lighter — we choose the engine that fits your game, platforms and budget, not a house favourite. The right tool saves you money and time across the whole project.
Cross-platform ready
We build with mobile, PC and console targets in mind and tune performance on real hardware, so the game feels good on a mid-range phone and a gaming PC alike, not just the dev machine.
Live-ops built in
Events, seasons and content updates are designed in from the start, so your team can ship fresh content and keep players engaged without shipping a full patch every time.
Analytics-driven
You cannot tune what you cannot see. We wire up analytics for retention, engagement and revenue so decisions about balance, content and monetization come from real player data.
Fair monetization
Premium, free-to-play, ads or in-app purchases — we design economies that respect players and stay sustainable, because burned players do not come back and do not spend.
FAQs
Game development FAQs
The questions studios and founders usually ask before starting a game with us.
How much does a game cost and how long does it take?
It depends entirely on the scope — a focused mobile title and a multi-platform live game are very different projects. That is exactly why we prototype and scope honestly up front: we prove the core loop first, then break the work down and give you a realistic quote and timeline before you commit a cent, with no open-ended hourly meter.
Which platforms and engines do you work with?
We ship to mobile (iOS and Android), PC and console, and typically build in Unity or Unreal — though we will pick a lighter engine when it fits the game better. We recommend the platforms and engine honestly based on your game, audience and budget, not a house default.
Do we keep the IP and own the game?
Yes — the IP stays yours. You own the game, the code, the art and the brand, and you get a clean, documented project with full access. You can keep building with us, move it in-house, or take it to another studio. You are never locked in or held hostage.
Can you co-develop or just publish, or do you build the whole thing?
All three. We can take a game from a blank page to launch, co-develop alongside your existing team to fill specific gaps — engine, art, backend or live-ops — or publish and grow a game you have already built. We scope to where you actually need help.
Do you support the game after launch?
If you want us to. A live game needs ongoing care — events, content, balance passes, fixes and platform updates — and we offer continued development and live operations after launch, or a clean hand-over to your own team. There is no obligation either way, and you always keep control.
What monetization models do you support?
Whatever fits your game and audience — premium up-front, free-to-play with in-app purchases, ads, battle passes or a mix. We design economies that are fair and sustainable and tune them with live data, because a model that burns players does not make money for long.
